BLOCK EATZ
Block Eatz is a food hall incubator aimed at supporting local food entrepreneurs with marketing, entrepreneur training and a high traffic retail environment to strengthen their ventures. Block Eatz helps local and diverse owned businesses lower their start up costs and provides a more predictable foot traffic pattern with the location being at the McKeithan Center on the north campus of Cape Fear Community College.
GENESIS BLOCK ACADEMY
Genesis Block Academy is designed to support early stage startups, community entrepreneurs, diverse owned businesses and local small business owners with the development of sustainable business models. Genesis Block Academy offers three curriculum based training programs; Block Basics, Jumpstart Academy and Wits Begin Incubator. The academy also offers a Digital Learning Campus that can be accessible globally.

Genesis is a supplier diversity platform providing solutions to simplify sourcing, supply chain management and sustainability reporting. The aim is to streamline the procurement process for large organizations and give diverse owned businesses access to greater transaction opportunities.

The Founders
Girard Newkirk is a technology entrepreneur Founder and CEO of KWHCoin and Genesis Block..
Girard is a native of Pender County and moved back to the Wilmington area by way of San Jose, California in November of 2018 with a mission to bring technology and entrepreneurship to his native community.
In 2019, KWHCoin won the Coastal Entrepreneur Awards Emerging Company for the company’s work on combining renewable energy and technology. He serves on the boards of the Cape Fear Economic Development Committee, Cape Fear Collective, and Cape Fear Community College Information Technology Committee.
